 The Center for Partnership Studies is a nonprofit organization that conducts research and develops and disseminates education on the partnership model. It provides information and tools to promote the shift from domination to partnership in all aspects of society – from families and education to economics and politics.
STATISTICS:
•The annual marriage rate in the United States is about 9 new marriages for every 1,000 people. The proportion of married American adults declined from 72 percent in 1970 to 60 percent in 1998.
•Historically, the purpose of marriage in China is to maintain connections between the parents and children, especially sons—less about individual connection between the spouses.
