•	AIDS: The Largest Global Emergency for Girls Help the World YWCA reduce the rate of HIV infections among young women and girls.

•	IDEA Empowers Women with Leprosy IDEA is an international human rights, advocacy, and educational non-profit, founded and led primarily by individuals who have been affected by leprosy. Look at their Oral History Project on their web site, to learn about the challenges people continue to face, although there is a cure for the disease. Support IDEA's Global Campaign to Eliminate the Stigma Associated with Leprosy, through our grass roots efforts in Africa, Asia, the United States and Latin America.

STATISTICS:


•	In a survey on sexual behavior from random sampling of 10,000 people between the ages of 18 and 49 in Norway, 20 % of women reported exposure to pornography on the Internet.

•	According to Label Behind the Label, garment industry workers on average receive about 0.5% of the retail cost of clothes sold in the high street.

Self-portraits are a constant element of my work. I speak about intimacy, sensuality, sweetness, love and porn. Using pop-culture as well as crafts historically linked to women - such as embroidery on both paper and fabric - I recall intimate stories. I hark back to every small event and intimate moment which, filtered through fantasy, memory and image reconstruction, becomes unique and sublime. My work is rooted in my belief that embroidery, used shoes, underwear and clothes, can be very intimate. These pieces all come from different works and series entitled Walk the Porn, Bittersweet Love and A Diagram of A and B.
