With this film, I hope to encourage young women to feel comfortable with their bodies and their identities and...
Animation allows me to manipulate image and time in minute detail, so that I wield total control of my characters' choreography. When I created Out of Beat a year and a half ago, I was inspired not only by flamenco dancing but by my mother who taught me to have confidence and believe in myself.
I want to show, in an innovative and imaginative way, what we often overlook in life - values, self-respect, love, tolerance and the importance of poetry. I want to remind people that beauty lies in everything and everyone and that often we just have to take a closer look to see it.
