Oh Deer (6 min)
Chungmin Moon
New ZealandGALLERYCONVERSATION
It reflects childhood dreams and a girl's silent and intimate relationship with animals. I wanted to...
This film grew from my fascination with young girls and their seemingly magical qualities hidden behind their calm and serene façades. I believe that these little girls hold petite mirrors to our adult selves.
I made oh deer because I am intrigued by the fantastical, surreal, and peculiar nature of many old folk tales and by their often bizarre portrayal of the female character. With this film I wanted to offer my own contemporary version of the old fairytale as well as my view of a young woman of my generation.
