I had her run through a couple flamenco dances, which I then strung together to create this short audiovisual installation. In the final edit of the film, I manipulated the audio to create a hypnotic whirlpool of flamenco sounds.
I feel that this type of montage helps the viewer concentrate on the raw emotion of the dance rather than on the moods and feelings of the flamenco guitar and cante. I wanted the viewer to experience flamenco in a unique way versus the traditional form of seeing the dancer in full dress at a tablao or Peña.
